Gomphrena - Audray Bicolor Rose Seed

Gomphrena has been a favorite dried flower we grow season after season, but this color specifically is one we absolutely love. The color of the bloom has a lovely muted color that lands somewhere between pink and purple, but is more muted, which makes also makes this flower perfect for an addition into fresh mixed bouquets.

Each year, we plant a 100’ row of this beautiful variety of gomphrena, referring to this area of our farm as ‘gumball city’, because the blooms look like little gumballs growing on the top of the stem.

Seed Starting Directions:

Start seeds indoors 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost, or directly outdoors in late spring, once all danger of frost has passed and soil temperature is consistently above 70 degrees F. If starting indoors, plant seeds 1/8” into seed starting medium, keeping temperature of growing area around 70 degrees F. Seeds will germinate in 7 to 12 days. Transplant seedlings outdoors after 4 leaves have set and plants have had an opportunity to harden off.
