Cinnamon Basil Seed
Cinnamon basil (Ocimum basilicum) is one of our staple greenery fillers for fresh, mixed bouquets. We love the wonderful fragrance, which adds a lot to our bouquets during the season.
Pro-tip: Harvest cinnamon basil when mature allowing it to go start to go to seed (purple blooms on top). Harvest early in the morning into fresh water, before the heat of the day sets in.

Seed Starting Directions:
Start the seeds indoors in late winter or directly outdoors in spring once all danger of frost has passed. If starting indoors, sow about 6 to 8 weeks before last scheduled frost, planting seeds into seed starting medium 1/4” deep, keeping temperature of growing area around 70 degrees F. Seeds will germinate in 5 to 10 days. Transplant seedlings outside after first leaves have set and plants have had an opportunity to harden off.
