Honey Tasting at PepperHarrow with Hawthorne Honey Co November 8th 2:00-3:30PM
Join us for an evening of sensory discovery as Kyle Hawthorne, PepperHarrow's own beekeeper, leads you through a guided tasting of eight remarkable honeys from across the world, including a special lavender-foraged honey produced by the very hives that call PepperHarrow home.
From the delicate, almost crystal-clear fireweed honey-born from blossoms that thrive only after forest fires- to the buttery smooth Tupelo honey, harvested from hives that are floated deep into the swamplands of the Florida-Louisiana coast just before the Tupelo bloom, you will be lead on an winding path through the width and breadth of the nectar collecting journeys experienced by honeybees across the world.
Part sensory adventure, part education, and part storytelling, we will supply all the ingredients for a delightful experience. So please join us and come taste, learn, and linger in the beauty of PepperHarrow, where lavender fields meet golden honeycombs.

About Beekeeper Kyle:
What began as simple curiosity quickly grew into a full-fledged passion. The thought of keeping bees never crossed my mind, but after being led to purchase a property just north of Winterset with several acres of pasture planted into a wildflower mixture specially designed for pollinators, I began exploring the idea of keeping honey bees. It wasn't long before I purchased two hives, which quickly led to 4, and before I knew it, I'm the steward of over 100 hives across four bee yards. The rhythm and mystery of beekeeping continues to draw me into the husbandry of beekeeping, which has been very settling to my soul. What I believe is a divinely inspired journey has led me to not only become more appreciative of the design and interaction of nature, but also grateful for a creator that knows us and cares for us in beautifully unexpected ways.
All ticket sales are final, non-refundable, and non-transferable.
