We’re Adam and Jenn O’Neal, the hands, hearts, and hard-working flower farmers behind PepperHarrow, a boutique flower farm nestled in the rolling hills of Madison County, Iowa.
Just 30 minutes southwest of Des Moines, our 60-acre farm rests atop a scenic plateau overlooking the Middle River Valley. It’s a place steeped in natural beauty and deep-rooted history, from the iconic covered bridges of Winterset to the nearby grounds where Thankful Robbins, a local healer, once taught botanical medicine to a young George Washington Carver.
Every bloom we grow is a reflection of this land: colorful, abundant, and full of intention. From field to bouquet, we pour ourselves into cultivating seasonal flowers and creating farm-made lavender products that bring a little slice of our farm’s beauty and joy, to people near and far.

Founded in 2011, PepperHarrow Farm is a family-owned flower and lavender farm nestled in the rolling hills of Winterset, Iowa. What began as a dream has grown into a thriving farm where we cultivate acres of seasonal blooms, fragrant lavender, and specialty cut flowers with care and intention.
Our journey began with a shared passion for the outdoors. Adam, a Louisiana native, brought his love for nature from playing in the swamps of a nature preserve, and gardening in some of the most historic gardens in Middle Tennessee. Jenn, an Iowa native, inherited her love and knowledge for flowers from generations of her family’s matriarchs. Together, we nurtured our passion, co-founding PepperHarrow Farm, cultivating blooms, and tending the land on our 60-acre oasis.
PepperHarrow Farm is more than just flowers. We're proud Master Gardeners and co-authors of the book "Small Farms, Big Dreams". Our farm has been featured in numerous national and regional publications, such as Midwest Living and Better Homes and Gardens. We share our floral expertise as nationally recognized speakers on cut-flower gardening, via our popular YouTube Channel, hosting workshops and other unique events right here at PepperHarrow.
Our beautiful farm has become a destination for floral workshops, farm-to-table dinners, and seasonal events where guests can experience the beauty of the fields firsthand. Whether you visit for a class, shop our handcrafted lavender products, or simply follow along with life at the farm, you’re apart of sharing in the story that started with a dream and continues to grow.
